Each session is a lead-up to cross country. The runners will build their base mileage depending on age and experience. The runners will also build their core strength with an arm and abdominal program. I’m a coach who believes in quality over quantity, especially with such young, growing athletes. Depending on their age and experience, we will build their endurance base and anaerobic capacity. The runner will receive individualized instruction within the group setting based on their personal goals and levels. The athlete will learn to improve using steady state, tempo, intervals, fartlek, and training runs. This summer base session will help build their confidence and help the runners become more successful as cross-country athletes and young adults.

MY COACHING PHILOSPHY:
My coaching philosophy is simple and one that I have carried with me for decades. It started in high school, and has stayed with me as a collegiate athlete, professional runner and eventually as a coach, wife and most importantly as a mother.
My philosophy correlates with my favorite verse Hebrews 12:1
Run with perseverance the race that is set before you.
I’m a firm believer that we all have a race to run and that our race will be full of ups and downs along the way. Teaching my runners to set goals, believe in themselves and to chase their dreams is a part my core values as a coach. Showing them that even when they fall, they can get right back up. Learning from their mistakes and continuing to chase their goals is what makes them a champion!
Dream big and chase after those dreams with everything you have.
I consider myself a Runner's Coach, in that everything I do for my runners is exactly what I would want from a coach. I have been where they are and know exactly what it takes to get where they want to go. I give each athlete the individuality that they deserve based on their goals and needs. I am a huge proponent of quality over quantity and believe that the biggest improvements come during times of rest. Most of our lives require us to wear many hats, for many different people and it is because of this that I will give you the best opportunity for success by tailor-making a program just for you and what is best for your life.
